This is the sequel that takes everything that made the first one awesome and cranks it all up. The visuals? Now in smooth 3D, yet the action remains fast-paced. Yes: you can play cooperatively with a buddy through online play (now 2-player, 4-player after). What takes the prize, though, are the spell combos. You think you’ve got a killer setup, then the game throws some semi-wild new Arcana at you and suddenly you’re rethinking everything.

Hieronymus, the one hot-shot wizard in charge, is not fooling around. The Floating Lands are restless and ever-changing, so every run is different. The wizarding council? Some will help you out, while others will only spend time watching your failure. This is a rogue-lite, so you will expect to die a lot, but each run teaches you something new.
Arcana: More Spells, More Chaos
You should have your traditional fireballs and lightning strikes available; you might just as well have a few other ways to mess with enemies. Ever turned a simple melee attack into a swirling storm of magic? That’s the kind of stuff you’ll find here. The real fun is experimenting with mixing spells until you stumble upon something so ridiculously powerful.
