What is APT. 407?
You are just moving into apartment 307 of that old Korean apartment building. For some time now, things have looked normal, but one day, something occurs; you see something strange about the building unit above yours, 407. The neighbors insist it has been empty for years, but you hear footsteps, creaking floors, and whispers when no one is supposed to be there. The lights turn on and off by themselves, the sounds and air feel heavy; something is not right.
APT. 407 stands as a first-person horror game premised on atmospheric and subtle scares, unlike cheap jump scares. It is a slow buildup of fear that causes you to question every sound and shadow. Dim hallways, a creaky elevator, and eerily quiet rooms will be explored-design to seem like a real, lived-in space.
The game encourages exploration. Scattered notes, strange markings, and other clues can be found that reveal the dark history of the building. For the best experience, wear headphones; every sound adds to the tension.
Controls are simple:
- Move: WASD
- Sprint: Shift
- Interact: G
- Pause: ESC
