The Royal Writ is a strategic card game in which your cards act as soldiers, not mere pictures. On the battlefield, you position them forward, and they fight for you. However, the rule is this: if a card reaches the enemy base before you win, it is gone forever and cut out of your deck for the rest of your run.
This means that sacrifice is not something to be avoided. It is part of the plan. Some of my matches require me to throw one of my best cards into the immediate danger zone, so I have any chance of winning with the other units. It hurts, but it is also what makes the game memorable.

Build Your Army with Unique Characters
Your army consists of some strange but skilled animals. Some might be strong; some are inferred to be clever; and others just plain weird. Command a limping flamingo, an archery chicken with poor eyesight, or a lizard that escapes death by dropping its tail. From fearless red ants to loyal lambs, each card brings something different to the table.
These victories and losses shape the tale of your kingdom. Who knows? Along your path, you might even encounter strange allies like a mantis dentist who seems a little too excited, a goat that has the mind of a war general, or a boar shopkeeper who is always in a hurry.
Two Main Campaigns
First Campaign – Fighting against the rising rebellion to protect the king’s rule. Along with it, travel through deep pits and poisonous marshes where there are fights going through. But further on, one may begin to acknowledge that the problems of the kingdom were bigger than mere appearance.
Second Campaign – As the world of warfare changes with the introduction of gunpowder, it becomes full of new weapons and constant iron rain; now, you have to be active and take care of your forces from both traps and enemy fire attacks.
