When I first installed Supraworld, it was just that I was not really able to figure out what to expect out of such a product. While it did initially seem pretty much like some kind of puzzle game, after a short while, I found out that it was way more than that. You actually hone the role of a young apprentice from the solver’s guild. The world is breaking up with all kinds of strange puzzle storms, and to prove to yourself, you need to pass the solver’s exam as an apprentice, which entails rescuing a princess footloose in a nearby castle.
This game has been described as a first-person puzzle metroidroid. It means an open space where you get to collect newer abilities or upgrade them. This is what I loved about the whole thing because every time I found an upgrade, I rushed back and checked everything again to see what I had overlooked in the earlier instances.

Supraworld is set apart mainly by the way its environment works. No phony barriers of any kind. If there’s a way, you can usually go there. I remember crawling around on surfaces that I thought were merely background, only to discover they hid puzzles or items. It gives you a reason to look everywhere instead of just running everything through.
I was also surprised by the game, including detective missions. You investigate murders at one point, and you actually conclude as to who the responsible party is. It’s not like other games that hold your hand to one answer; you put things together here yourself, and it just seems more personal that way. Certainly, I put one person in jail wrong, but it made it all that much more interesting for me.
There is fighting, but that isn’t anywhere near what it’s about. What you do most of the time is explore, solve puzzles, and connect clues. Generally, when you fight, there’s most likely some mechanism of puzzle mixed in, so it never feels like you’re just mashing buttons randomly.
For me, the biggest highlight of Supraworld is that all told seemed to matter. Everything here is placed very much intentionally, whether part of the puzzle or hidden clues leading to new or better upgrades, it has a purpose.
