Overview of Another Farm Roguelike: Rebirth
I tried this game called Another Farm Roguelike Rebirth, and honestly, it’s such an unusual farm game. Slow walking around, pointless chatting, or dating stuff: ditch it! Everything here is super quick: click, plant, harvest, collect, upgrade, repeat. It’s really straight to the point, and I got hooked in really fast.
What makes it really interesting is the randomness of the map and resources each time; no two runs are the same. All you want is enough money to pay the endless rent that serves as your main goal. I started small, but after a few rounds, I had a farm so big it could vindicate most things, and discovered a multitude of ways of acquiring money. You get to pick your style and go all in.
The classes are crazy, too. There are 24 options. I started as a fisherman. I did all sorts of obstacles, after which I switched to a shaman, which was really fun. Every time you level up, you get to choose between three random upgrades, so the way you play is always shifting.
The biomes are a trip. Once I’m farming in lava fields, another time I’m in candy mountains. Eight different biomes to keep the game really varied, with each having its own odd buildings and zany items.
Modes offer variations. Classic Mode requires you to manage your stamina and resources while paying the rent. Challenge Mode offers 12 different scenarios if you’re into hardcore mode. Endless Mode is where you can just chill, grow your farm, and enjoy without fret.
Animals are also a big deal. You can feed and play with them, and just a glimpse of the farm will build up quite a life. But be careful, as some may meet their fate when they become an accidental dish on the dinner table.
