A few days ago, I tried Horse Club Adventures 2: Hazelwood Stories, and honestly, it was a peaceful little break from stress-inducing games. The story brings you on an adventure to Hazelwood in autumn with the `gang`: Hannah, Lisa, Sarah, and Sofia. Together, you explore the town, meet people, and join in some activities.
The apotheosis is, of course, a photo contest. You have to ride here and there with your horse, scouting for fine views to capture with the best shots. I was not very good at it; however, with added exploration in other areas and some in-game friends’ support, it simply became easy and exciting.
The modes of riding available offer plenty of variety in these games. You try all sorts, from dressage to courses to Western riding, rounding up cows, and a little mini-game of Pop & Gallop. I personally preferred the race because there was adrenaline, and it felt so arcade-like.
Actually, Hazelwood is really beautiful. The areas where you ride through beaches, autumn woods, mystic swamps, and snowy mountains. Simply riding around is therapeutic, especially with music playing.
The other aspect I would enjoy is horse care. You can feed your horse, wash it, clean its hooves, and give it a hug. Slowly, you form a bond with your horse, and that makes you feel a little more attached to the game.
You can also customize your character and your horse. There are lots of garments and tack to unlock, so it becomes a matter of trying different looks. The game also features English voiceovers and an original soundtrack composed by Winifred Phillips.

My Personal Take
In my opinion, that is what sets the game apart: combining adventure with the most relaxing ambience. One moment is a leisurely walk; the next, a race, sharpened my focus. Most of my time in Hazelwood was spent in exploration since I loved hunting for hiding places and taking pictures.
