I distinctly remember my first time playing LEGO Party with my cousin. We had already planned to play for about half an hour; still, it went on for hours because those mini games were just too hilarious. By far, the best part was that even when he was on a different console, he could still play with us because of the cross-platform play. In my opinion, LEGO Party is just the right kind of game if you like LEGO games and want some casual fun with friends or even by yourself.
LEGO Party chills among fun, casual multiplayer options, where you could either join friends online or simply sit and play together. The concept is simple: mini-games, collect Golden Bricks, and make sure you win against your friends in all other crazy challenges.
You’re racing monsters, dodging flying roast turkeys, and even cooking horrible meals for aliens. At times, it seems like total chaos, but chaos is fun. I was once about to finish with only one win in the nah Kraken mini-game, and the rest of my friends had a field day teasing me for all the times I had lost!
Game Features
Play with friends your way
LEGO Party is highly entertaining, either locally on a split screen or online with up to 4 players. The mini-games would be Rocketball, Kraken Up, Dance Off, etc.; they add a twist to their copycat style, keeping it fresh every time.
Golden Brick Competition
Your main aim is to collect more Golden Bricks than anyone else. Power-ups come to your aid, but they are also perfect for dishing out traps to trap your friends. I remember dropping traps all over the place, and my cousin kept falling for them over and over.
60+ mini-games
There are 60-plus mini-challenges, from racing through collapsing tombs to rally car tracks. Some are simple while others demand tension and focus.
Create your minifigure
You get to create your own LEGO character. With over 1 billion combinations, you could go with the classic LEGO sets or just go as weird and funky as possible. I once created a pirate who, for an astronaut, cracks me up every time I see that.
