In due time, this significant foray onto The Crew engendered a feeling of bigness and a big breath of fresh air, as it exposed The Crew into an oncoming big open-world game setting in which the imaginary USA was open to action. In this game, people considered their car as their character. They kept upgrading it, changing parts, or unlocking looks while playing. The map itself is huge, with five different regions spread all over America. I recall driving in traffic in New York City, just hanging out on the beaches of Miami, and cruising through those dry canyons near Monument Valley. Each area feels unique and presents its own driving challenges. Best of all, I liked the random players I bumped into while cruising. Some I’d race with, some I’d oppose. It was that surreal aspect that colored the entire experience.
Never Drive Alone
The best thing about The Crew is that you’re never alone. Crews are easy to form and disband. Once, I teamed up with three of my friends, and we had some crazy times escaping cops together. Mostly, we were just racing one another for bragging rights. Having a crew really does keep the game feeling fresh and vibrant.
A Great Playground To Explore
Simply put, for a racing game, this map covers the whole country. One can drive through towns, suburbs, countryside, deserts, race parks, or even forest trails. One day I was slightly awing, drifting on the streets of Chicago, and the next day I was driving through snowy mountain ranges. It keeps one engaged since no two drives feel the same.
Upgrade And Customize Your Cars
The Crew puts a great deal of emphasis on the upgrade process for one’s car. You can collect all types of body parts and performance upgrades as you go along in the story. I remember tuning for all sorts of specs- street, dirt, raid, and circuit. Each one is tuned better for certain types of terrain. For example, dirt spec, as anticipated, is killer off-road, while street spec seems to handle city racing with high responsiveness. Different perks can be chosen based on how you like to drive.
Keep Playing Anywhere
An exciting extra is The Crew’s mobile/tablet progress tracking. I could check my car stats on my phone and send my crew on jobs even when I wasn’t on the PC. It keeps the game feeling connected all the time. You may also be interested in: Overcooked! All You Can Eat Free Download (Build 15801630) for Windows PC
