The first time I tried Constance, I honestly didn’t expect it to feel so smooth. The whole concept of becoming paint felt a bit strange at first, but after a few minutes, it actually became quite enjoyable. This game would let you submerge yourself in the floor, scramble up walls, and move quickly. I sometimes just messed around in empty areas because the movement just felt cool.
Become Paint
You can move like liquid paint in many areas. You can sink to the ground and walls, jump really high, glide, and cut your way through enemies. At times, with my bad timing, I would end up crashing into things, but after trying it a few times, it felt natural.
Use Your Brush
Your brush isn’t only for combat. Indeed, you learn new tricks that aid you during fights, jumping sections, minor puzzles, and even a bit in actual story progression. I know I had gotten stuck in one area until I learned a new brush skill, at which point, suddenly, it all made sense.
Self-Discovery
The world is very open in many directions. No need to follow any one straight path. Exploring turned out to uncover secret places, small upgrades, and random characters with side-stories. Some stuff even made me stop and think because it seemed more personal.
Maintain Balance
Every time you use your brush techniques, the paint gets corrupted. Bad effects come if you allow it to fill up completely. One time I forgot to check my corruption meter and bam, messed up, so better be careful.
Get Inspired
You find inspiration scattered everywhere; you sketch their outlines in a journal, which eventually contributes to boosting Constance through different configurations. You could upgrade your sketches by gathering materials and making them stronger. I liked testing the possible combinations to see how the game changed.
Choice in Death
On dying, you choose what to do next. You may choose to push on, but at a cost, or return to a safe location and try another route. I often went back and explored some locations I had skipped earlier.
Rich Imagined World
The places through which you journey are very colorful, yet they all have something to tell about Constance and her moods. The enemies also matched the theme. After a little while, I formed an idea about what each place represented in her lifetime.
Interactive Backstory
There are a few playable memories where you step into her past. These moments were very relatable because they cover the typical things, such as stress, creativity problems, and a search for purpose. It made me feel as if I am sometimes carrying a heavy load during week-long school periods. You may also be interested in: Project Motor Racing Free Download for Windows PC
