I did not expect Kill It With Fire 2 to be this funny when I tried it for the first time. Anyway, it’s all about smashing spiders, burning them, blasting them, whatever works. Exterminator by profession, you’re tasked with saving various worlds from invading spiders. For people who enjoy quiet gameplay, it can also be played alone. Otherwise, you can join with your friends in online co-op, which allows up to four players. I played with my cousin once, and he kept screaming whenever a spider ran at him. It made the whole thing even more fun.
If you want, you can try the Humans-versus-Spiders mode. This is basically a silly fight between two teams, one trying to escape or survive, while the other creates some chaos. Very soon, things get messy, but in a good way.
The game offers a pretty broad collection of weapons, around forty-five items that help deal with the creepy crawlies. Some are common, like a newspaper or a frying pan, while others look wild, like a laser sword or a rocket launcher. My personal favorite is the flamethrower. It feels so sweet to be getting revenge when a spider jumps at you from behind a box.
Kill It With Fire 2 sends you through seven different worlds. One seems like an old manor, and when you move around in one of the rooms, there is that very unusual quietness until something shifts. Another one is like a town from the Wild West. There’s also one set inside a digital world, all glowing with everything. The one that frightened me the most was the Spider Hell. They all take their different forms and will not give you a moment of rest.
This is a pretty great light film where you’d be moving and have something to chuckle over. Easy to learn. It runs on very low systems.
