Talamh’s Story
Talamh was torn apart by the magical disaster conjured by some powerful wizards. People lost trust in magic due to this incident, and the Sun King Azra took advantage of this fear for his own purpose. He thus created the Crimson Order to control wizards, along with his loyal princes as rulers across the lands.
Azra continued to develop his powers, but a small rebel group led by the high enchantress Uchawi was now beginning to resist him. To throw off Azra’s control and authority, they resorted to practicing forbidden magic.
Playable Characters
I liked how each hero plays differently from the other when you play Absolum; one makes you feel very unique.
Galandra: She’s from the dark lands of Yeldrim. She carries a gigantic sword with necromantic powers, which permit her to easily crush her enemies. The whole perception of calmness can change when one observes that internally, within fights, rage was just stacking. Playing her felt powerful during situations when facing stronger numbers.
Karl: He is the last free dwarf of Talamh. He might use a blunderbuss-fists-off for fighting, and he brings in some heavy close-combat skills. Karl may not hit from far, but he makes up for it with raw strength. Personally, I loved using Karl because it feels like his attacks pack a punch and are very satisfactory in one-on-one battles.

My Experience
I tried Absolum on PC, and the first thing that popped into my mind was how smooth the combat was. It felt like it came straight out of the arcade games of my childhood; admittedly, just a little deeper and a little more modern. It kept me glued: story, characters, and combat-all fantastic.
