Bad Cheese is one of those games where everything appears parodical at the surface, whereas, to the player, each task shows its darker side. Technically, it is the weekend for a young mouse at home. Mom is out, and Dad is a difficult, unsupportive sort to be with. The main aim is famously simple: do not annoy him.
To me, it felt like doing chores at home, with a lot of drama. And yet one is cleaning the house, making fries, giving pills to Dad, and banging a few spiders, among other odd jobs. It simply threw me back to those days when I’d be dumped with extra chores whenever my parents went out, but this game felt intense with an uncanny atmosphere.
Gameplay Overview
The house holds a considerable space for exploration, where you might find snacks, toys, and other tiny collectibles hidden at random. Reminds me of those times sneaking in for chips or chocolates from the kitchen when no one was watching.
Yet from there, the fun turns into an awkward play. The further I played, the more I learned that the game mixes normal chores with creepiness. There is no telling what could happen next, but that is what makes it much more interesting.
