Becastled is a chill, fun city-building and defense strategy game where you get to set up your own medieval kingdom. The game has that cartoonish feel, yet it starts to be really engaging once you begin building your fortress and defending it against enemies.
When I played it the first time, I didn’t expect too much out of it, but frankly, it’s one of those games that will keep you bent over. You begin by building your first few walls and towers, and you come to an ever-so-sobering realization that it’s all about resource management: food, wood, stone, and, of course, your army.
This one is already pre-installed, so just download and play without dealing with installation troubles. While I didn’t like this one much, the fact that it is easy even on older PCs is commendable. You’ll be glued to the screen trying to balance building up defenses and training soldiers when the attacks get really heavy.
You can’t just throw some walls and think you are safe. You have to use your brain: Set up your resource spots, build your watchtowers wisely, and keep your army ready. After all that planning, a really enjoyable part of the game is to see your soldiers hold the line when the siege begins.
The city-building, calm, and base defense tension are quite balanced in the gameplay. It doesn’t overload you with possibilities, so you’ll soon get the hang of it, even if you are a newbie.

My Thoughts
Becastled feels like one of those games that you start for half an hour but end up playing for hours. It is the balance of resource management and castle defense that keeps it interesting. The graphics feel a bit cartoonish, which makes it easy-going rather than too serious. It is that kind of game you want to play after a long day, just for fun, but not so easy that it allows your brain to shut down.
If you are into games that involve base building or defense games like Stronghold or Kingdoms and Castles, you should give this game a try. You may also be interested in: GODBREAKERS Free Download (Build 20302905 + Co-op) for Windows PC
