Bendy Lone Wolf plunges you into the nightmare scenario of an ancient cartoon world. This goes beyond just bustling through some cute animation studio. This place is alive with creepy monsters and dangerous traps hiding at every turn. The deeper you go, the stranger and scarier it gets.
You control Boris, a taciturn but determined character forced to wander around in the endless corridors of Joey Drew Studios. Supplies, weapons, and answers are what he looks for at each turn. Every hallway is different, and you never know what could be lurking at the corner of the turn. I can still remember the first run where I thought I was safe, only for a really shadowy figure to rush at me from behind a wall. I nearly quit at that point after my heart jumped so badly.
The enemies come from the Dark Puddles, and they do not just sit pretty as effigies. They will chase you and block your way or try to pull you back into the darkness. You can fight them with a flurry of swings or use traps to turn the tables. Timing is very important – one slip-up could end your run.
You’ll be watching the ground for telltale cracks or scratches underneath, hearing footsteps or strange noises all the time, when you chance upon the one spot you feel most sure will keep you forever safe.
