In the game Clink, experience the life of someone marred by his past. The doctors called him sick, gave him pills, and begged him to stay in touch with them, but he never did. Now, it is just him, his cat, and the never ending decay of a house, enveloping him in an eerie silence. He craved peace, but what lay before him almost seemed worse.
The day began like any other, with your first task being the feeding of your cat. Who knew that something was wrong? Suddenly, the door that had never been locked before was holding it immobile, and the key was nowhere to be found. After the pounding of a metallic hum in your skull, something deranged flickered in your mind as you turned to the bathroom mirror and disappeared once again. It was only here you spied the message on the glass, a child’s scrawl signed by your old doll.
Slowly, your hidden fears come back to you: your grandmother, her curse, those things you buried deep, why did she do it to you? What is real anymore?
You sift through the house to find doll fragments lying in shady corners. Piecing her back together opens a secret tunnel inside the garage. This nightmare leads into a shifting world of impossible staircases, coffins lining the walls, and worm infested, squirming tunnels. All the while, the sound continues to swell and pulse within your head.
The mechanics are simple yet so thoroughly immersive that they allow you to, as the gameplay states, “Explore, discover, solve puzzles, and endeavor to survive the truth as it unravels.”
