Overview of Conquest of Elysium 5
A blend of simple gameplay and deep strategy is what Conquest of Elysium 5 brings to the table as a turn-based fantasy strategy game. Illwinter Game Design has designed for you a huge world, full of creatures, magic, and factions. Each faction in the game plays very differently from one another, and this is what makes it interesting.
The first time I played it, I thought it would be nothing at best, but this game really did surprise me. If you were to play as a different race, that would again make the game feel wholly new to you. Like, when I chose the druid, I built my empire in forests and jungles, summoning the creatures of nature. But when I switched to the dwarves, everything changed. Mining was all, and beefing up strong units, because losing one of them meant real trouble.
Then, there are those darker factions like the Scourge Lord, who would suck the very life out of the land itself to gain power. With 24 playable and randomly distinct factions, the experience never alienates the possibility of becoming boring.
What’s New in Conquest of Elysium 5
Additions in the fifth version include a lot of cool new stuff. Four more planes could be used to explore in addition. Ships and ports would propel travel to islands set beyond the main continent. New factions, new rituals, and summonings that add flavor to older factions have been put in place as well.
There are also new fortification maps, new independent factions fighting against each other, and a lot more monsters. Random events have been revamped to provide a sense of uncertainty and surprises in every game.
My observation is that it appears more alive, especially with factions fighting independently, even when you have no intervention in the battle. Very few strategy games deliver this ‘world of their own’ feeling to the game world.

My Thoughts
Honestly, Conquest of Elysium 5 is one of those games that looks simple at first but keeps pulling you in. I liked how each faction makes you change your thinking. Sometimes I’d spend hours just planning my moves and watching the world react differently every time.
