Dark Souls II was my very first From Software experience. In other words, everything I heard made me believe about this cruel machine of a game; I never thought it could actually get this cruel! For me, with just every single corner felt like a trap, just waiting to happen. However, this is what made the game even harder to put down: dying became something you now wanted to retry. I did it again, with the hope of doing better.
This game has been created by FromSoftware, the same creators who made it more famous. This tale carries on the dark and mysterious world through which you fight through massive areas crammed with awfully creepy monsters, skilled traps, and bosses that feel impossible to beat the first time. But when you finally defeat one, the relief and pride that comes with it is just an unreal feeling.
Gameplay Overview
Dark Souls II gives you the same blend of terror and excitement as its predecessor was famed for. It’s an action RPG that demands skill, patience, and perfect timing. You will have to learn the enemies: all their ways of movement, when to strike, and when to block. Every mistake that you make could easily cost you your life.
The world is quite large. It may require some exploration of grim castles, haunted forests, dark caves, and killing ruins. The map designs make for both a sense of being lost and a sense of fierce curiosity. I cannot tell you how many times I wandered far away from the usual path only to uncover secret areas filled with treasures and, of course, deadlier foes.

Enemies sure are no joke; clever, merciless, and due to their aggressiveness, they will slaughter you if you are not careful. Boss encounters are memorable and tense.
Deep customization:
You are free to develop your own build and play in any way that suits you. You have options regarding which weapon, armor set, and skill build will suit your style. Personally, I enjoyed using the biggest sword I could, even if that meant heavy armor slowed me down.
Better Multiplayer:
Dark Souls II allows players to either stand together or confront each other online. Call on players to assist you in dire situations or invade their world for some Jolly Co-operation. It breathes a sense of liveliness to the gaming experience, even on a single-player run.
Smooth Combat and Graphics:
This edition is blessed with a far superior game engine than its predecessor. With fluid graphics, lighting, and character animation, it truly immerses you in the dark atmosphere.

My Experience
It felt as if running in the dark-no, running a marathon in the dark. It is frustrating, yet once you get into the rhythm, it becomes infinitely rewarding. You gain something with every fight, earn every victory. The patient and the skillful will find the game worth their while.
And do remember to take that very important break once in a while. Rage-quitting does enter the vocabulary on this one.
