Destroy All Humans is back in business and is a full remake this time. You play as an extraterrestrial being called Crypto-137 who lands on Earth in the 1950s. The goals are simple: mess with the humans, steal their DNA, and bring down their government. If I remember correctly, I played this game several years ago on an old console and laughed like a maniac at how absurd and entertaining it was. Now that it has made its way back, honestly speaking, it feels just as fun.
This game lets you play around with numerous alien weaponry and powers. In one gun, people literally just start panicking, while the jetpack is wonderful to fly around the old American cities with. You even get to take on a human form and sneak into places or just mess with them. Psychokinesis has got to be my favorite; you can pick up things and throw them at people or cars. It’s just so satisfying every time.
In the remake, the graphics have evolved, although it still carries that goofy charm that made the original so popular. It also contains one previously unreleased lost mission called the “Lost Mission of Area 42”. If you love games that are a little outlandish and don’t take themselves too seriously, this is the one for you.

My Experience
Thinking back on it, I have so many fond memories of this game, rendered even more vividly after playing Destroy All Humans on PC. The controls were more fluid, with sharper visuals. The humor has evolved, especially the banter between Crypto and his ship. This is the kind of game you play to relax and vent after a long day. Even if it is targeting aliens and taking down their entire world, it never feels too serious, and casual players like me sure enjoy it.
