Dispatch is a superhero comedy-adventure game set in present-day Los Angeles. It is made by the same developers behind Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, so the story part is quite strong.
You play as Robert Robertson, better known as Mecha Man. After a great fight against his enemy, his mech suit was destroyed, and now he finds himself working in a superhero dispatch office. But this time you don’t save the world directly; you send others out to do it. Your job is to manage a bunch of ex-supervillains, get them to work as a team, and rebuild your own broken suit to give you another chance at revenge.
I have played this for quite a while now, and honestly, it is quite fun. It is not just about missions; the entire game concentrates on chit-chats and the decisions you make inside the office. Every decision you make, with the tiniest exception of the way you talk to somebody, is going to affect the storyline later. You can feel the way that the relationships between heroes shift depending on what you do.
It has you check emergency maps, where you decide which hero to send for each job. It was funny many times when I sent the wrong one just to see what happened. But yeah, your decisions really matter, so think wisely.
Each hero has his habits, flaws, and drama. Managing them almost feels like managing a real team. Some heroes are slouches, some are high-maintenance, while others simply refuse to listen. Upgrading them and unlocking their new powers comes in pretty handy for the later parts of the game.
What makes Dispatch special is its balance between humor, fantastic storytelling, and strategy. It is not your run-of-the-mill action game; it shows what it is about to be a hero, even when you sit at the desk.

My Experience
I personally liked how the game balances office humor with superhero drama situations. The story changes tremendously based on how you manage your okay situations. Sometimes, I would laugh from the sheer absurdity of how missions would backfire, but that is really where the fun comes from. It’s kind of like managing a gaggle of oddballs that just happen to have superpowers.
