The human world came to an end in the year 2013. A monstrous catastrophe wiped almost everyone off the surface of the Earth, which is now turned into a turmoil of radioactive wasteland. The last few survivors camouflaged themselves deep into the bowels of the Moscow metro to survive from then to now.
Present day 2033. You are Artyom, part of a generation born after the apocalypse. During your entire life, you have remained underground and have never witnessed the sun. But now you must navigate the treacherous paths of the Metro, and across the even more treacherous surface, to save what remains of civilization from some new unseen danger threatening the last of mankind.

Ranger Mode – Only for hardcore players: no HUD, stronger foes, and little ammo.
