Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is an exhilarating action-adventure game that allows you to become Spider-Man in an overgrown New York City beset with dangerous symbiotes. You’re in search of Mary Jane Watson, who is hidden away with Luke Cage, all the while fighting strange creatures and making difficult choices that affect the story.
The coolest feature, I think, is the ability to switch from Spider-Man’s traditional red and blue suit to the black symbiote suit. The classic suit gives you greater speed, while the black suit provides you with devastating attacks. You also get to choose which personalities you want to remove, giving the game some replay value.
This upgrade allowed for enhanced graphics, substituting the old mini-map view from above with a 3-D map. Whenever you swing around or are in combat, the ambiance, visuals, and sound effects immerse you in the action of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.
