I distinctly remember unlocking the Warden in Dungeon Defenders for the first time. At first, she seemed tame enough, like that little guardian of the forest. But after putting her skills to the test, she’s definitely one you don’t want to mess with. Tied and weighted with the earth, she protects everything and, when enemies appear, she demolishes them.
The best part is the way she acts in her attack based on natural elements. Angry Blossom, an example of her skills, throws a shot that pierces through an opponent and explodes with the next one it hits. Then there’s Sludge Launcher, which I enjoyed quite a lot since it sprays poison blobs that burst at impact.
Another one that is fun is Cloud Tower. It sends lightning that jumps between five enemies. Used in a crowded fight, it clears out from area pretty quickly. Wisp Den hits up to ten enemies at once. If that weren’t enough, there’s the Shroom Pit, which spawns a ShroomBoy and leaves a poisonous mushroom pool that steadily damages and weakens enemies.
Her buff skills go beyond just being a dealer for damage. Wrath boosts her defense, heals her, and infuses fire damage to pets’ attacks. That helped me survive some close fights. Forest’s Protection had an additional team-friendly perk wherein it shields allies while breaking down enemy resistances.
After that, I realized the Warden acts as healer, buffer, and heavy hitter in one character. A spoiler: if you happen to play Dungeon Defenders Redux, this DLC is going to be a no-go there. Found out about it the hard way after installing it, so better to know in advance.

My Experience with the Warden
Testing different builds with the Warden was really fun. Sometimes I would focus on buffing up my team, and at other times I would go complete nature powers and wipe out groups of enemies. She really gives you options, making her stand out from the older heroes. For myself, my favourite skills were lightning and poison skills, and I really enjoyed them because they could be used really well for defending tight spots.
