Of course, Half-Life is one of those games that has defined the brass nails of how shooting PC games are played. I can recall playing II many years back at a friend’s place and really getting engrossed in the story and the way the action went. Half-Life: Source is pretty much the same old game, just rewritten and updated to be run in the Source engine. Thus, better physics, more polished visuals, and simply smoother performance.
When I tried this version, I felt like going back into the same old world of Half-Life with just a slight refresh. The movement feels more natural, and some of the old effects have been changed for cleaner ones. This isn’t a completely new game, but great if you loved the original or are just curious where PC shooters really started to grow; it is worth installing.
