I have played many music-style games, and honestly, Hi Fi RUSH felt very different to me. It is a rhythm action game where everything follows the beat. You control a guy named Chai who dreams of being a rock star. Things get wild when a strange company experiment connects a music player to his heart. I know it sounds funny, but while I was playing, the whole world actually moved with the music, and it felt cool.
In the game, you join Chai and his small team as they take on a big tech company. The fights feel smooth because the enemy hits, and your moves follow the rhythm. Sometimes I missed the timing, but when I got it right, it looked and felt very satisfying. Every jump, little joke, attack, and puzzle moves with the beat. It makes you feel like the whole place is dancing with you.
The enemies are mostly robot workers from the company. You can use Beat Hits, strong power moves, and combo attacks with your teammates. When I tried to show off, I kept pressing in rhythm to get better scores. It is fun trying to reach the S rank. It feels rewarding when it works.
Every department of the company has its own boss. They are different from each other. Production, Marketing, Finance, and more. Each boss fight has its own music track, which makes it feel more lively. The game also features many original songs, as well as songs from famous bands like Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy, and The Joy Formidable. If you enjoy music while gaming, you will like this part a lot.
