What is Kingdom of Peace?
Kingdom of Peace is a single-player adventure game that takes place in a cruel medieval world. The protagonist, Racław, the man who has lost everything to war, wanders through the world in search of a safe location to settle down and rebuild his life. The game is a blend of survival, building, and storytelling as Racław struggles to make a new home in a shattered world.
The journey leads him through the remnants of two kingdoms ravaged by war. The barely surviving Racław now has a chance for a new life, but survival is anything but easy. It entails gathering resources, putting roofs over his people’s heads, feeding them, watering them, and fighting off any enemies that would prey upon them.
Every day is a fight for survival. Food must be found, clean water is required, and against all odds, Racław must fight off wild animals or human brigands. The world is dangerous, and should evil prevailed even for one moment, it would destroy everything.
You will explore sleepy villages, ancient ruins, and enchanted forests full of secrets. Some offer help; some conceal dangers. This game is not all about construction; the focus lies on revealing the stories of a world ravaged by war.
Racław’s past looms large. You will meet survivors, make hard decisions, and learn of the changes wrought upon the land by war. The story is heart-wrenching and evokes empathy for the characters.
