About the Game
Military Conflict: Vietnam is a first-person shooter putting you squarely in Vietnam War-specific fighting. The period takes place in one of the most anxious years of the conflict in 1968. You can either contend as the Viet Cong as you fight on the US Army side.
I was trying out this game recently, and to be honest, it reminded me of those LAN café shooters I did back in the day. The gun sounds, the mayhem with the jungle maps, and that feeling of danger lurking everywhere made it a thrilling experience. What makes it even better is that it is very easy to get into. There’s no paywall, no hidden purchases, just shooting mayhem.
Weapons and Combat
One of the glories is the weapon collection, with over 200 guns and tools, so you can never get bored with choices. I kept switching rifles just to test them out, and some of them felt really powerful, while some were more difficult to control. It is a classic kill-or-be-killed set-up, which means if you hesitate, you’re out.
The game provides both single-player and multiplayer, so you can play it the way you want to. For me, that aspect of multiplayer gave you that rush, especially when you coordinate with a team.
DLC Content
The developers included 2 bonus campaigns, which are free, as follows:
Rainbow Herbicides – Focuses on chemical warfare, including Agent Orange. I played this in solo mode first, and it was tough. Later in co-op, it felt more balanced and fun.
Rhodesian Bush War – Takes this battle from Vietnam to Africa. Very much multiplayer-focused and feels very different from the main missions.

My Opinion
It’s not the cleanest war simulator out there, but it’s good fun. I experienced a few frame drops here and there, but generally, it did not run very badly on my mid-range PC. What I really like is that the game includes no additional fee for DLC or weapons; all is unlocked, and any future upgrades will be free, which feels rare these days.
