Mortal Sin is an action RPG that throws you into close melee combat where timing matters a lot. It is not about spamming attacks but about picking the right moment to strike. I played it, realized, and if you lose focus for even a second, the enemies can end you quickly. The chaining hits while capping for dodging is quite fulfilling.
What It Stands For
What I really liked was how this game was different every time you played it: levels were generated differently, quests popped up at random, and rooms felt unique. On my second run, I noticed places I had missed during the first run, and that kept me curious. Inside many classes, you can go for a heavy Berserker with a greatsword or a Pirate who carries guns. Each class is fresh enough to lend itself well to replay value.
Visuals and Style
The artwork is more like a comic book, making it somewhat apart from the rest of the RPGs. Even I kept switching between color modes; it was like a whole new experience. There were times when I played it under a much clearer palette to examine the details, while sometimes, the palette was darker just to make it all scarier in nature.

I tried Mortal Sin because of a friend’s recommendation, and honestly, I didn’t expect much out of it. What I found most interesting was the gameplay-the initial learning curve was quite hard, but once you start chaining your attacks together, it becomes very rewarding. I also liked switching characters and picking up a different style of play. For me, this is a keeper because it is not a repetitive game that you would just be playing over and over.
