What Office After Hours Is All About
Office After Hours is one of those indie horror games that has punchy brevity. It runs for about 1-2 hours and places you in a boring office well past closing time because your boss is a pain in the neck and piles on the work. Getting out of here is something you want because weird things begin happening in the office. Flickering lights, objects moving by themselves, and creepy sounds that put you into questioning whether you are alone are some of these things. Sometimes, one even spots the office pet acting all shady, and the whole thing becomes funny and unsettling at the same time.
The vibe-situation is below creepy and strange: imagine your corporate job itself being placed in an episode of Twilight Zone. Besides surviving a creepy atmosphere, you would have to search for clues, dig up hidden bits of stories, and gradually unlock new parts of the office to escape. There are about 30 story-related anomalies to dig up, while another 10 or so random weird things will keep you on edge. And coffee’s everywhere because, let’s be real, what’s a late-night office grind without a caffeine fix?
This was the one I played last weekend. Honestly, the brilliant mix of humor and horror kept me glued throughout. I found the best bit was the collection of these random notes hinting at what was going on, it’s like putting together a puzzle while trying not to freak out. Not serious at all, I found it. Office After Hours was one fun escape. Def tough at standing composed while the office started messing with my head, random noises really got me good a couple of times. A short horror experience that still has charm and some cool secrets to uncover, this is worth checking out. It will be just an interesting night because it won’t keep you awake, but just enough spooky things around.
