I remember vividly the first time I placed Tactical Assault VR on myself. Unlike a traditional shooter, in which you simply drag your finger on continuous presses of the trigger, it felt so much like an actual practice mission. You had to properly apply close-quarter battle tactics to see through a door; walk very slowly, clear every area of the house. There is even more fun playing that way with your squad online for the teamwork aspect of it.
What is Tactical Assault VR?
That’s Tactical Assault VR: a true military-style VR shooter in a singularity where you become a special forces soldier. Single-user missions can be taken, or even cooperatively with your friends. Just one place in the game has PvP, where you are battling with other players.
Some missions would involve you saving hostages, some would be defusing a bomb, while others simply would require taking out high-value targets. Randomization in maps gives every single mission a unique feel. Once, I brought a friend to try that hostage rescue mission with me, and honestly, it was incredibly tense for us to be moving stealthily to avoid noise.

Why This Game Is Special
If you’re tired of the run-of-the-mill shooters that are more like games, then this one is what you should go for. Personally, I enjoyed having to use my brain, though, before making any move, the spray-and-pray approach didn’t apply here. Added thrill comes from the fact that you play in VR, especially during co-op, where everyone on the team has to play their role.
