I played it recently, and honestly, it really feels like jumping right into the anime, action-packed yet emotionally driven.
Fighting Action Battles with Combo Attacks
It’s pretty fun to indulge in battles in this game. You can make impressive combo attacks and perform special moves to vanquish your enemies. Rimuru learns a special new attack as he gets nearer to his pals, and occasionally an ally steps in to help him with the fighting. I absolutely adored that old-style animation of the secret skills, a simple but nostalgic touch to the experience, finishing off tough bosses out to destroy Tempest.
Anime Story and New Adventures
You can relive the whole anime story from the first encounter between Rimuru and the Kijin to the epic battle with the Kingdom of Falmuth. The game is fully voiced, adding further life to it. The main storyline and two brand-new story arcs written by the original author are included in the game.
Goblin’s Revenge Arc
The tale goes with Kataki, the Bugbear, who lost his friends to a dire wolf attack. Later, he finds out that the Hobgoblins, his old enemies, are now living peacefully in Tempest. That’s when his path of vengeance begins.
Religious Nation Arc
This is the one that deals with a religious nation called the Theocracy of Angels. They believe in angels and intend to take the power of the Storm Dragon, and they are facing Tempest in a big showdown connected with surprises.
City-Building Gameplay
What I really liked about the game is the city-building system. As you go along the storyline and meet different allies, your village continues to grow. It starts off small but gradually transforms into a strong nation. You can erect various structures to enhance the power of persons residing in Tempest. Personally, I enjoyed building up Japanese-style houses to remind Rimuru of his previous life.
The game has over 50 side quests. These are minor quests about the daily lives of people in Tempest. Some quests really got me laughing, while others dwelled on emotional issues when Rimuru helped villagers solve their problems. One feels like actually integrating into the community.
