It all begins with the first installment of the beloved Trails series: Trails in The Sky 1. It has everything your typical RPG would have-from exploring the kingdom of Liberl, to fighting battles, to following an emotional storyline. This PC version of the game is complemented by beautiful visuals, enhanced mechanics, and voiceovers in English and Japanese.
The story revolves around Estelle Bright and her brother, Joshua, who was adopted by Estelle’s parents. Both of them are training to become bracers, members of a guild that helps people and protects peace. What at first appeared to be simple really has a bigger story showing danger and secrets. It’s funny because when I first played it, I couldn’t let go of the slow buildup and the more detailed way even minor characters got their portions of the story.

My Experience with the Game
When I first played Trails in the Sky, I thought it was just another JRPG out of the old school, but after an hour or two, the story really drew me in. The characters really felt real, and even the side characters had proper dialogues that changed as one played through the story. Compared to fast-paced Action, turn-based combat was relaxing at times, and honestly, I enjoyed taking my time. If one loves lengthy RPGs with good taste in stories, this is their game.
