Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall is when you realize what it means to be a king trying to avoid his kingdom from falling apart. You have to give orders, balance funds, deal with family drama, and deal with the unending line of petitioners needing help or wasting your time. The Slavic-influenced setting gives it the cool, fairytale-like vibe in which every decision seems weighty.
It plays to that thing about thinking twice before giving aid. Just want to be the good king; the treasury ain’t bottomless. Some choices are going to come back to bite you later; that’s the real difficulty. Deal with Petitioners like a Real Monarch
Petitioners with various problems will flock to you. Some really require assistance, while some only want free stuff. You have to find out who deserves your resources; if all your resources are blown prematurely, then the real troubles will really get you. Believe me, trouble invariably has a way of coming.
Sending agents to earn some resources usually gets the job done, but even then, there is risk involved. Get the wrong guy for the situation, and your problem may compound. Does a great job of making you feel powerful while constantly second-guessing your decisions.
Agents Bring Skills… And Drama
The hiring of agents is a crucial but not the only objective for which he is trained: every one of them comes with their own set of unique behaviors and baggage. Some of them will cause trouble when not handled properly.
